US has recovered $2.3 million in Bitcoin from Russia-based hacker group DarkSide, whose attack on major fuel pipeline operator Colonial Pipeline caused it to stop operations, officials said on Monday. The recovery is the first undertaken by a ransomware task force created by US President Joe Biden-led administration's Justice Department. The majority of the ransom paid was seized, officials added.
