US reintroduces Dream Act, allowing protection from deportation

US has reintroduced Dream Act 2025, allowing 'Dreamers', undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children, to apply for protection from deportation. Under the act, Dreamers would be able to petition for protection from deportation and chance to earn legal status. The bill defines 'Documented Dreamers' as children of non-immigrant E-1, E-2, H-1B, and L visa holders.
