The US announced on Friday that it has released $200 million in military assistance to Ukraine. The US Defence Department said the aid will provide the funding for "training, equipment, and advisory efforts to build the defensive capacity of Ukraine's forces". This coincided with the US' rejection of Russia's reported proposal to hold a referendum to solve the Ukranian crisis.
