A US report has flagged the claim over the territory of Arunachal Pradesh as one of the “core interests” of China, which also include Taiwan and the strategic Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea. The report stated that “core interests” are defined as issues that are a central part of China’s national rejuvenation plan by the year 2049.
