US retiree watches 1,207 movies to set Guinness World Record

Pennsylvania retiree Glenwood Hoskin Jr. watched 1,207 films in cinemas over a year, setting a Guinness World Record. He surpassed the previous mark of 777 films by planning his screenings around theatre schedules. A Regal Unlimited subscription helped him keep costs down, while animated films and comedies were among his favourites. He also prepared meals at home between screenings.
