US-Russia nuclear treaty expires, Russia says 'it will speed up doomsday clock'
The New START treaty on nuclear arms control, which was signed between US and Russia in 2010, expired on Thursday, February 5. Senior Russian security official and former President Dmitry Medvedev has said it would speed up the "doomsday clock". US President Donald Trump had indicated that he will let the treaty expire.
