US scientist questions validity of Meghalayan Age

Prominent American paleoclimatologist Prof Raymond S Bradley of the University of Massachusetts Amherst has urged scrapping the Meghalayan Age from the global geological timescale, arguing its stalagmite-based evidence from Meghalaya is too weak to prove a worldwide shift. Ratified in 2018, it marked Earth’s most recent Holocene stage.
