US witnessed 2,800 flight cancellations and over 10,000 delays on Sunday, in the worst day for disruptions since start of the longest US government shutdown. Last week, Federal Aviation Administration ordered airlines to reduce commercial flights across 40 airports. Around 13,000 air traffic controllers, deemed 'essential' employees under US government rules, have been forced to work without pay.
