The US Senate has passed legislation authorising a record $858 billion in military spending next year. The bill, which passed with a vote of 83-11, will now go to US President Joe Biden to be signed. US currently spends more on defence than twice as much as the other 29 members of the NATO military alliance combined, DW News reported.
