Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina senator, introduced a resolution that would authorise military force against Iran if it develops nuclear weapons. The resolution would be triggered if Iran possesses a nuclear head that it could use against Israel, US or any other allied countries. Graham reportedly stated that he believes Iran could possess nuclear weapons within weeks or months.
