Frontdesk, an American online rental startup founded in 2017, laid off its entire 200-member workforce over a two-minute call on Google Meet, TechCrunch reported. The layoffs come after the company failed to raise more capital. During the Google Meet call, Frontdesk CEO Jesse DePinto reportedly told employees the company would be filing for a state receivership, an alternative to bankruptcy.
