US targets Alaska Senate result, seeks to void California ballots

The US Justice Department has sued to block certification of Alaska's Senate result if Senator Dan Sullivan loses, citing a namesake candidate, court filings show. In California, it has asked courts to set aside about 20,000 mail ballots that it says likely belong to non-citizens, a claim the state disputes. A hearing in Los Angeles is set for Tuesday.
