US President Donald Trump signed an executive order to end a trade loophole known as 'de minimus' that allowed low-cost packages from China and Hong Kong to enter US free of duties. From May 2, imported goods from China and Hong Kong sent outside international postal network and valued at or under $800 would be subject to all applicable duties.
