US is set to impose over 500 new sanctions on Russia and its war machinery as its conflict with Ukraine enters third year. The sanctions will be implemented by both Treasury and State Department, constituting the "largest single tranche" since Putin's extended invasion, the Treasury stated. Numerous sanctions have been applied to Russian entities and individuals since the war began.
