John Allen Chau, a 27-year-old American tourist was allegedly murdered on Andamans' North Sentinel Island, inhabited by an indigenous tribe known to resist outside contact. The missionary reportedly wanted to meet the tribals to preach Christianity. As per Indian laws, the Sentinelese people cannot be prosecuted and any contact with them or entry into areas inhabited by them is illegal.
