The US reportedly used 155 aircraft and an abandoned airstrip in Isfahan province to rescue pilot in Iran amid the ongoing war. The place where the aircraft landed was reportedly far away from the hiding place of the pilot. Isfahan holds Iran's primary stockpile of highly enriched uranium, roughly 440-970 pounds. Iran claimed the US wanted to "steal enriched uranium".
