For peace talks with Iran in Pakistan, US Vice President JD Vance-led delegation had landed at Nur Khan Air Base, which was hit by India during Operation Sindoor. Indian strikes had damaged its operations room, hangars, fuel trucks among other things. A large crater was created on the runway, resulting in the airbase being shut down for an extended period.
