An American woman was found tied to a tree with an iron chain in a forest in Maharashtra's Sindhudurg district. The woman, identified as Lalita Kayi Kumar S, was found in a weak condition due to starvation and exposure to torrential rain and was reportedly unable to speak. Herdsmen found her after hearing her screams and she was hospitalised.
