A 71-year-old Indian-origin woman from US' Seattle, Rupinder Kaur Pandher, was killed in Punjab's Ludhiana, allegedly on instructions of UK-based NRI Charanjit Singh Grewal, whom she was to marry, police said. Sukhjeet Singh, typist at Ludhiana court, was arrested for beating her with baseball bat, burning her body, and dumping remains in drain. She was killed in July, police said.
