USA won gold medals in women's basketball, women's omnium points race and women's volleyball on the last day of Tokyo Olympics to overtake China to finish on top of the medal tally. USA topped the medal standings at Olympics for the third time in a row with 39 gold medals, while China came second with 38 gold medals.
