US-based cloud communications company Twilio said that hackers accessed its customer data after "fooling some employees into providing their credentials" via an SMS phishing attack. It said that the hackers used the stolen credentials to gain access to internal systems, following which they launched an investigation. Twilio has more than 1,50,000 corporate customers, including Airbnb and Uber.
