In a first for India, Indian Oil's Panipat refinery would convert used cooking oil to co-processed oil for use as a replacement for aviation turbine fuel. The certification for the same was given by Cotecna Inspection India Pvt Ltd, which was founded in Switzerland in 1974. Union Minister Hardeep Puri said this move contributes significantly to India's green transition push.
