US-trained Afghan pilots who fled to Uzbekistan during the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan began leaving for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday, one of the pilots told Reuters. It was not immediately clear what would happen to the 46 aircraft that pilots flew to Uzbekistan. The Taliban had demanded the pilots and the aircraft to be returned to Afghanistan.
