Uttar Pradesh has 4.14 lakh registered electric vehicles (EVs), the maximum in the country. The state has surpassed Delhi and Maharashtra with 1.83 lakh and 1.79 lakh registered EVs, respectively, according to an official statement. "A key driver of this momentum is the widespread popularity of e-rickshaws, which...account for 85% of EV sales in the state," the statement added.
