The Uttarakhand High Court criticised the state government for failing to comply with its order on removing encroachments from waterbodies in Dehradun. A PIL had urged the court to direct the state to declare the catchment areas of the Rispana and Bindal rivers as a 'no construction zone'. It also opposed the Rispana and Bindal River Elevated Road Project.
