Uttarakhand's first white tiger arrives after 556 km journey

White tiger Tejas has arrived at Dehradun Zoo from Gwalior Zoological Park under a tiger exchange programme, becoming Uttarakhand's first white tiger. The animal travelled 556 km by road over 12-14 hours with a 13-member team. Tejas will remain under quarantine for around 20 days before being introduced to visitors, with public display expected in about a month.
