Vaishnaw asks MeitY to cancel 18-19 'non-serious' ECMS projects

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw told MeitY Secretary S Krishnan to cancel the approvals of around 18-19 projects under the Electronic Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS). "We don’t want non-serious applications," Vaishnaw said. Notably, 34 projects have so far been approved under the Component PLI scheme. Government recently launched a web portal for Semicon 2.0 applications.
