India is preparing to launch Vande Bharat 4.0 and Amrit Bharat 4.0 trains to match global standards, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced at IREE 2025. The upgraded trains will feature improved comfort, safety, and cutting-edge technology. Vaishnaw also revealed plans for Kavach 4.0 safety deployment, hydrogen trains, and 7,000 km of new passenger corridors by 2047.
