Indian Railways will launch the first sleeper coach-equipped Vande Bharat Express premium trains in March 2024 connecting Delhi with Mumbai and Kolkata, offering faster overnight journeys. Prototypes set for April launch incorporate 16-20 coaches with sleeping berths across AC and Non-AC classes. Vande Bharat Metro urban transit versions are also being explored under the expanding brand umbrella.
