David Dhawan has said what he and Govinda did in films like 'Haseena Maan Jaayegi' and 'Coolie No 1' cannot be repeated with any other actor. David, who's remaking 'Coolie No 1' with his son Varun Dhawan, added Govinda was a legend in his own style and Varun is not similar to him at all. "Varun is...different...from Govinda," said David.

'Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai' actor Aasif Sheikh, who portrays Vibhuti Narayan Mishra in the sitcom, was rushed to a hospital after he collapsed during the show's shoot in Dehradun, multiple reports said. The actor has now been flown down to Mumbai for further medical attention. Makers of the show are yet to issue an official statement on his health.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved a hike in ATM interchange fees, making cash withdrawals costlier by ₹2, effective from 1st May, 2025. The fee for financial transactions at ATMs now stands at ₹19. The fee for non-financial transactions at ATMs has also been hiked by ₹1 to ₹7. RBI had previously revised the fees in 2021.

Supreme Court Collegium, consisting of CJI Sanjiv Khanna, on Monday recommended transfer of Delhi HC judge Justice Yashwant Varma to Allahabad HC. Delhi HC registry withdrew judicial work assigned to him after a huge amount of cash was discovered at his home during a fire-fighting operation earlier. Varma originally belonged to Allahabad HC and was brought to Delhi in 2021.

Central government on Monday announced a hike in salary, daily allowance and pension of members of Parliament (MPs) and former MPs, with effect from 1st April, 2023. MPs will now draw ₹1.24 lakh monthly salaries, up 24% from ₹1 lakh per month. Their daily allowance has been increased from ₹2,000 to ₹2,500 and monthly pension from ₹25,000 to ₹31,000.

The Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, opened on a strong note, extending gains as both traded in positive territory. The Sensex is steadily trending upwards, up over 1,000 points while the Nifty is trading around the 23,600 mark. The S&P BSE Senses added 1,003.06 points to 77,908.57, while NSE Nifty50 gained 286.95 points to 23,637.35 as of 12:37 pm.

Ex-Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal suffered massive heart attack during a Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League match on Monday. The 36-year-old has been put on life support at a hospital in Savar, on outskirts of Dhaka. "It is a difficult time for all of us. He is currently under observation," Dr Debashish Chowdhury, chief physician of the Bangladesh Cricket Board said.

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has reacted to the controversy over comedian Kunal Kamra's "traitor" remark against Deputy CM Eknath Shinde. Fadnavis said that legal action would be taken against Kamra, adding that the comedian should issue an apology. "Eknath Shinde ji has been insulted, and an attempt has been made to do so. This will not be tolerated," Fadnavis stated.

Ex-India cricketer Harbhajan Singh compared RR pacer Jofra Archer to London's 'black taxi' while commentating in RR-SRH IPL 2025 match on Sunday. "Like...metre of London's black taxis...Archer's metre has also been on...higher side," Harbhajan said in Hindi, referring to Archer's expensive spell in the match. Several X users called for action on Harbhajan over the alleged racist remark.

Comedian Kunal Kumra took a "traitor" dig at Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde during his show at a Mumbai hotel, wherein he sang a spoof song of 'Dil To Pagal Hai', referring to "a leader from Thane". Shiv Sena workers vandalised the venue hotel after the video of his performance surfaced online. They also filed a case against the comedian.

Former CSK captain MS Dhoni has hinted that IPL 2025 might not be his final season. In an interview, the 43-year-old said, "I'm in my last few years in IPL. I don't know whether I will be playing for one or two or five or 10 more seasons." He added, "I want to enjoy cricket. One year at a time."
