Venomous Joro spiders could invade New York this summer

Concerns are rising about venomous, palm-sized Joro spiders potentially invading New York and other East Coast cities this summer. Despite entering the U.S. a decade ago, these spiders haven't yet reached urban Northeastern areas. The Joro, which poses no danger to humans but preys on various insects, spreads northward faster than southward and adapts well to urban environments.
