Verstappen wins rain-hit S'pore Sprint as 9 drivers fail to finish race

Red Bull's Max Verstappen followed up his victory at the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix 2026 in Malaysia by winning Saturday's rain-hit Sprint in Singapore. Mercedes' George Russell overtook pole-sitter Verstappen in the slippery conditions before crashing out at the final corner of the opening lap. Notably, a total of nine drivers failed to finish the 20-lap race.
