Veteran Kannada actor Mysore Srikantayya 'Umesh' has passed away at the age of 80 in Bengaluru. The actor, known for his comic roles, had been battling from cancer and died after prolonged illness and hospitalisation. During his six-decade long career, he received the Karnataka State Film Award in 1975 for Best Supporting Actor in 'Katha Sangama'.
