Veteran actress and former MP Jaya Prada has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. She will reportedly contest elections from Rampur constituency in Uttar Pradesh against Samajwadi Party's Azam Khan. Jaya Prada, who won the Rampur Lok Sabha seat in 2004 and 2009, joined Rashtriya Lok Dal in 2014 after being expelled from SP.
