Veteran actress Mithu Mukherjee passes away

Veteran Bengali actress Mithu Mukherjee has passed away at the age of 71. She breathed her last on Sunday night at a private hospital in Mumbai after battling cancer for nearly a year. Mithu, who started her acting career at the age of 17 with 'Shesh Parba', also starred in Hindi films like 'Khaan Dost', 'Safed Jhooth' and 'Dillagi'.
