Veteran Sinologist Janaki Ballabh dies aged 94 in Beijing

Veteran Sinologist Janaki Ballabh, the first Indian to have acquired long-term residency in China, has passed away due to age-related health problems, his family informed. Ballabh passed away in Beijing on Friday aged 94. Ballabh's notable works include the translation of 'Selected Works of Mao Zedong', a five-volume collection of the written works of CCP founder Mao Zedong, into Hindi.
