VFS will soon offer citizenship, passport services to Indians

VFS Global plans to expand in India beyond visa processing into citizen services that could include passports, driving licences and national identity-related services. CEO Zubin Karkaria says the company is increasingly using AI to detect fraud and improve efficiency while retaining human decision-making. VFS Global has more than 200 centres in India.
