Media conglomerate Viacom18 has announced the appointment of Gourav Rakshit as COO of Viacom18 Digital Ventures, which operates streaming platform Voot. An alumnus of the University of Rochester and IIM Ahmedabad, Rakshit is currently serving as CEO of online matrimony platform Shaadi.com. Rakshit will replace Gaurav Gandhi, who was hired by Amazon to head Prime Video last year.
