Surgeon Vice-Admiral Arti Sarin has assumed charge as the new Director and Commandant of the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune. Vice-Admiral Sarin, a graduate of the AFMC herself, was conferred with the Vishisht Seva Medal in 2021. She has served as the Head of the Department of Radiation Oncology Army Hospital R&R Delhi and Command Hospital/AFMC Pune.
