A critically endangered crested macaque monkey was born at the UK's Chester Zoo. This rare primate's population in its native area at Indonesia's Sulawesi has dropped to under 5,000 due to habitat loss and poaching. Mark Brayshaw, head of mammals at Chester Zoo, said its birth is a positive development in the global breeding program aimed at safeguarding the species.
