A minute-long YouTube video shows the evolution of the Indian National Flag, till the present tricolour that was adopted on July 22, 1947. The first of the six designs, a tricolour with green, yellow and red stripes, was hoisted in Kolkata in 1906. The tricolour with saffron, white and green stripes, and Mahatma Gandhi's spinning wheel was adopted in 1931.
