A video shared by ETH Zurich showed a hybrid robotic drone flying to vertical and overhead surfaces on bridges, tunnels and dams before attaching itself via suction to perform physical tasks. The drone can be seen drilling, scanning and installing sensors with high force and stability. The system aims to reduce risks and maintenance costs by automating hazardous work-at-height inspections.
