Video shows robotic hand crawling using fingers as legs

ETH Zurich researchers trained a commercial robotic hand to crawl independently by treating its fingers as legs using reinforcement learning. A video showed the robotic hand crossing gravel, lawns and paving and playing golf. The technology could potentially enable robots to move and perform tasks in narrow spaces, including under desks and inside keyboard trays.
