Ghats of Varanasi were submerged in water as the level of the Ganga River increased due to continuous rainfall in the region. The Ganga River has been rising steadily from Varanasi to Ballia, and flood outposts have been activated across the district. The newly built Namo Ghat was also seen flooded following continuous rainfall in the region.
