The Centre has told Delhi High Court that online video streaming platforms including Netflix and Amazon Prime don't need licences from the government to run their programmes. This comes as the High Court was hearing the plea filed by an NGO, which sought to regulate "vulgar" and "morally unethical" content on online platforms. The High Court has rejected the plea.
