Vienna asks dog owners to rinse pet urine off trees

Vienna launched 'Schönes Gassi' (nice dog walk), a campaign urging dog owners in the Neubau district to carry water bottles and rinse pet urine off trees. Free 270ml bottles are available at the town hall. Dog urine can damage bark and cause rot; diluting it with water reduces harm. The voluntary scheme may expand citywide if successful.
