Actor-politician Vijay's TVK lost one seat even before its debut contest in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections as the Election Commission rejected its candidate's nomination from Edappadi over insufficient signatures of proposers. The nomination of a backup candidate was also rejected for the same reason. Candidates from unrecognised parties must have 10 proposers, an official said.
