Pahamjula village in Ri-Bhoi, left in darkness for 18 years after a transformer burst, finally got power restored within three days after CM Conrad K Sangma intervened. The issue was raised by MLA Sosthenes Sohtun. During his visit, CM Sangma acknowledged the long neglect and reaffirmed the government’s commitment under the “CM Connect” initiative to resolve grassroots issues.
