A village mayor in Western Guatemala was burned to death by a mob on Sunday after villagers blamed him for an attack on a formal mayoral candidate Lorenzo Sequen. Sequen's daughter and niece were killed in the attack. Hundreds of people surrounded city hall and house where the mayor had taken refuge and burned him, along with vehicles and buildings.
