Villagers in WB's Bankura pay fee to cross temporary wooden bridge

An ANI report said that villagers in West Bengal’s Bankura pay a fee to cross a temporary wooden bridge to reach Burnpur, where they get employment and essential services. "Pedestrians pay ₹5 while motorcycles pay ₹20-₹40," a villager said, adding that the bridge breaks during rainy season. Burnpur comes under Asansol LS constituency whose current MP is TMC's Shatrughan Sinha.
